Seeing book memes is so fun! (even though it takes away my reading time). I recently found some book memes on Pinterest by an American Cartoonist named Grant Snider, who makes these memes that are funny and relatable. I will be sharing my thoughts on these memes, let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Oh well, this just described the journey between a book and a reader! Every book has its own memory when I read them. I will be wearing a book hat soon! Readers will be bringing this in fashion anytime now!

I am a voracious reader. Half of the time my head is in books. They are a great way to escape from reality and are a good meal! What kind of a reader are you? Let me know in the comments!

This is such a beautiful and relatable one! When a book wraps its covers around you completely, excitement comes from within to go ahead and reach the ending!

Quarantine has definitely flooded my home with books! It has also increased my reading time. The comfort zone at home gets even better when there are books all around you!

The stages of every reader! I was in a reading slump so it was the 6th stage for me but now I jumped to the 7th stage! Collecting books (ahem.. hoarding) is an essential part of our lives. I will be reaching the 8th stage soon.

Recommending books based on your mood #2.

I have started this series of articles where I recommend books based on a particular mood! These books are ranging from four to five stars and some of them are my favourites. I read some books recently and classified them based on my moods. Here are personally recommended books!

I-need-a-nostalgic-paranormal-read-that-will-spook-me-out!

This book is set in the year 1988. Abby and Gretchen are high school sophomores who have been best friends since fourth grade. After spending time in the pond in the woods, things are never the same. Gretchen starts acting weird. She becomes irritable, moody and changes a lot. Abby starts investigating after bad accidents occur. The two girls have to beat the devil with their strong friendship.

I have read paranormal fiction after a long time and this was a perfect read. The friendship between Gretchen and Abby bounded the whole story. The references from 1988 were added aptly. Listening to songs from the Spotify playlist given in the book was a great add on to the story. Give this book a read as it is filled with paranormal, friendship and 90’s nostalgic vibes!

I-need-a-read-that-will-inspire-me!

Steal Like An Artist is about exploring and finding your own creative side. Having fun in your work and turning it into art is what this book conveys. Building up ideas, copying some with alterations makes us an artist. We need to keep moving ahead with our work without letting the criticism control us.

This book is a short read, but it taught me so much about being creative. Day by day, we are getting busy with our own work and are leaving the creative side. Steal Like An Artist will make you hold onto your inner creativity and will inspire you to be an artist. I don’t read much non-fiction, but this book is worth reading!

I-need-a-read-that-is-poetic-and-powerful!

Long Way Down is a short book written in verse. It takes place in 60 seconds where a kid has to decide whether he will murder the guy who killed his brother. The elevator will stop at each floor and the people connected to the kid will give him a larger view of the story.

This book is a powerful read. It moved me so much because the kid is taking revenge for his loved ones and his voice. It was raw and beautifully written that will hit the bull’s eye.

I-need-a-read-that-is-filled-with-mystery-and-crime!

Stevie Bell receives a message from the owner of The Camp Sunny Pines formerly known as Camp Wonder Falls. In 1978, four camp counsellors were killed brutally in the woods and left in a box. Jumping to the present, the owner of the camp wants Stevie to work on a true-crime podcast with him on the Box In The Woods case. Stevie comes to the camp with her friends, but evil has returned to the town again and this time Stevie has to solve the case to make out alive…

This book is grittier and in-depth in the case this time. I am in awe after reading the ending, so precise didn’t leave any loose ends. The best part is that there are chapters that talk about the past, where the murder is happening and then we jump back to the present, where Stevie is trying to solve the case. Things are continuously happening in this book, so it was not boring at all! I love the mysterious writing, highly recommended!

Thank you Harper Collins for sending me Ace Of Spades! This book is set in the Niveus Private Academy where the students are rich and are never, less than perfect. But, when an unknown texter named Aces spills out dark secrets about two students, things don’t remain the same.
Talented musician Devon Richards aims to join his dream college Julliard. On the other hand, Chiamaka Adebayo will do anything for getting into Yale. She has earned her spotlight in the school and become famous. When Aces removes all their secrets in front of the whole school, both have to stop them before their darkest secrets are out.

Ace Of Spades was a huge surprise for me. The character build-up was top notch. The writing style is different as the author managed to give distinct personalities to both the characters. The tension that was building up when the secrets were getting revealed was a great add on. There were so many questions going through my mind while reading this book, which made it irresistible. I did not see the revelation of the culprit coming in! The suspense kept me hooked. The ending was out of my expectations and guesses. The pacing of the story in the first 100 pages is slow, but after that, I flew through the whole book.
It’s a powerful and thrilling read, debut novel so good, worth reading! A book wrapped up with important messages and topics perfectly represented. Overall an overwhelming experience!

Thank you Harper Collins for sending me The Box In The Woods. This book is a companion to the Truly Devious series. You don’t need to read the other three books to read this one. But, personally, you should not miss the awesome trilogy (so read it :D)! You can find my review for the trilogy here>> Truly Devious Trilogy.

Stevie Bell is back at her home after solving the infamous Ellingham Case. But she receives a message from the owner of The Camp Sunny Pines formerly known as Camp Wonder Falls. Jumping to the present, the owner of the camp wants Stevie to work on a true-crime podcast with him on the Box In The Woods case. This book blew my mind! In comparison to the other three books, this one was grittier and in-depth in the case this time. When I had almost reached the ending, I kind of guessed the killer, but the writing style definitely confused my suspicion. This is a quick read, I didn’t even realize till the end that I had consumed 400 pages of awesomeness! There is an aspect about the Nutshell Studies, which was so interesting to read. I am in awe after reading the ending, so precise didn’t leave any loose ends, it hit directly to the bull’s eye! The characters have developed and are mature. The best part is that there are chapters that talk about the past, where the murder is happening and then we jump back to the present, where Stevie is trying to solve the case. Higher risks are being taken by Stevie and her friends this time, which can also cost them their life. So many secrets are coming out about the town and the people. Things are continuously happening in this book, so it was not boring at all! I love the mysterious writing and would love to read more books in the Stevie Bell series! This book is very addictive and I highly recommend reading it!

How I Became A Reader!

Hello everybody! Today I will be sharing my reading story, it was the day when I realized that it is the best thing to lose myself in books!

I have been reading books since I was 10 years old. But, I wasn’t an extensive reader at that time. I enjoyed reading Sudha Murty and Roald Dahl books. I read those books but never connected with them emotionally. I still hadn’t found “The Book” that will start my reading journey!

Then it was the year 2019, where I was sick at home and didn’t go to school that day. I was resting the whole day and was bored. I remembered that my friend had recommended me a book named The Fault In Our Stars by John Green and hyped up about it. I downloaded the book and started reading it on my phone. The whole afternoon I kept reading the book and didn’t even realize getting engrossed in it. By night, I was finished with the book and I remember being in awe after reading the ending. I was shocked that a book could affect and move me. After reading the book I discovered the movie adaptation for the book. I watched the movie and loved it even more. For a week I was in the phase where all I did was fangirling about the characters. After being back to normal, I found out other books from John Green and bought Turtles All The Way Down. After reading the book I started craving for more books and my reading journey started. Till the end of 2019, I borrowed books from libraries and friends. I also discovered Booktube and saw that people were talking about my favourite books on YouTube! After watching many booktubers (HaileyInBookland, JesseTheReader, Polandbananasbooks, etc.), I made up a list of books that intrigued me and decided to buy them soon.

Jumping to March 2020, my final exams were over and by now I had ordered the books to read in my vacation. I bought 10 books and read them in one month because I knew my school will start in April. But, then the world was hit by a deadly virus and everything shut down. In the lockdown, I read many books and my love for reading kept growing. My family and friends have helped me to start my reading journey by encouraging and supporting me!

Reading books has definitely affected my blogging too as when I had started writing, I only wrote about my life experiences. After falling in love with reading and finding out about the book community, my blog shifted to writing about books. Reading books has been a path for me that has helped me grow in every aspect!
