This Series Shook My Life!!

Summary:

This series is about a school named Ellingham Academy that was founded by a business tycoon named Albert Ellingham in the 1930’s. The Ellingham Academy is a famous school in Vermont for inventors, artists and thinkers. The school provides free education with no tuition fees. Albert made the school with twisting pathways, tunnels, useless doors and games. But, when his wife and daughter and a bright student named Dolores Epstein gets kidnapped, Albert does everything to find them. In addition to that, the school receives a threatening letter signed by a named Truly Devious. The Ellingham becomes an infamous case. The FBI and many people try to find the culprit, but it is suppressed when someone confesses that he did the crime, but everyone are aware that the person is not the killer.
Fast-forwarding to the present, Stevie Bell loves to study true crime. She wants to solve the Ellingham case. Stevie’s first year at Ellingham has a plan to solve the cold case, with her new friends. Death revisits the Ellingham academy and now Stevie has to find the person behind all of this…

My Review For All The Books:

This series left me shook and gave me goosebumps! The story build-up is very solid. Maureen Johnson’s writing is addictive and it will make you read every line and every page! The characters are awesome and unique. Some chapters take us to the past where the Ellingham case is happening, and then we jump back to the present where these teens are trying to solve the mystery. I definitely could not predict anything in the story. The best part is that at the end all the dots connect and there aren’t any loose ends left. I could not believe that an author could write something like this. Normally, the sequels are a flop show (from what I have experienced), but the books get better and better in this series! This series is very addictive and now I have a desperation to study in the Ellingham Academy XD.

The Fourth Installment:

Released on 15th June

Yes! There is a fourth instalment in this series! Stevie Bell is back with another case to solve! The fourth book is a companion instalment, which means that you don’t need to read the other three books to read this one! But, I suggest reading the other three cause why miss out on an awesome series?! The characters of the Truly Devious series are back in a different setting to solve the Box In The Woods case! I am currently reading the Box In The Woods and so far, I am loving it! My review for the fourth book will be coming soon, so watch out for it!
Happy Reading!

When Devil Married God. #bookreview.

Author: Shelly Sharma

Genre: Women’s Fiction

Pages: 188

Rating: 5 out of 5.

This book has nine stories that are about good and evil. The women in all the stories are facing some life problems and are dealing with their loved ones who have chosen to be devils. Every story has its own message to give. Even though it is a short book, but there was so much in those nine stories that kept me going ahead. Each story has a fusion of Indian traditional thinking with a modern touch. The characters in every story were so surreal and raw. I enjoyed exploring the evil and good side of the characters. The ending of every story gave me goosebumps and the starting of another made me emotional. It is a very inspiring book talking about the two sides of a human soul on earth. It has changed my perspective on life in different ways. I highly recommend When Devil Married God to you all!!
