My 2022 Year in Books!

Hello, everybody. Happy New Year! I hope 2023 will be a happy and healthy year for you. I was away from writing for a long time and I am sorry for my inactivity. Things are still hectic as my finals are nearing. I have planned many things for my blog, but I cannot implement them due to time constraints. I will be free in April from all my exams and studies, still, a long way to go But, I will try to stay in touch with my writing and you all in between.

My Goodreads Goal.

I had kept a goal of 50 books and I was able to read 45 books this year. I must say that I read quite a mixed bag this year. There are many books that I rated 4-5 stars and there were many with 2-3 ratings.

Some Stats:

As I mentioned in my posts this past year, my reading tastes are evolving. 2022 was an experimenting year for me. I kept exploring different genres. Some, I instantly fell in love with and others I won’t get back to again.

In 2022, I explored different genres like realistic fiction, translated books, non-fiction, memoirs, and even romance because it was so hyped up. Many disappointments and many favorites in the past year.

My Year In Books:

I will be reviewing and discussing some of the books that I loved in my upcoming posts. It feels good to be back. Thank you for always supporting me and reading my posts. All the comments mean a lot to me, thanks again! I want you all to tell me in the comments how many books did you read in 2022.
Happy Reading!

The Racing To Read Book Tag!

Hello, Bookworms! I am back with another tag post. I saw this tag at Whispering Stories, check out Riddhi’s blog, it’s fantastic! I am very excited to do this tag, as for the past few months, I have fallen in love with Formula1. So I have been watching races and boosting my serotonin! Let’s get into the tag!

Warm Up: A book that stretches your mind.

Ace Of Spades kept me on the edge of the seat the whole time. The writing style is different in such a way that it gave me anxiety for the characters. I highly recommend this one.

Start Line: What’s a book that you started but never finished?

Lets be real. Many. I get so excited in the moment for a book, that I will read 50 pages of it and not finish it. So, I wont mention one because there are so many books that I have left 😦

Sprint: A book you read really quickly

It took me 4-5 hours to finish this book and it was so enjoyable to read!

Marathon: What’s your favorite long book?

I absolutely loved this book! Its 670 pages long, but every page was worth the read! Cassandra Clare has the magic to do that.

Hurdles: What’s a book that had ups and downs?

This book is filled with ups and downs. It gets slow and then a plot twist comes in.

Finish Line: A book you were proud to finish

I felt so happy and proud of myself when I finished this book as it is the first book I read that started my reading journey ❤

Gold Medal: Best book you’ve read during a readathon

Unfortunately I have never participated in a readathon.

Participation Ribbon: An underrated book you wish got more attention

This book is so underrated. It was a very surprising read and I enjoyed the friendship element with horror setting.

I tag:

  1. @Leah’s Books
  2. @Book Coffee Happy
  3. @Random Reader’s Rambles
  4. @Confessions Of A YA Reader
  5. @Past Midnight
  6. You!

Let me know in the comments if you are a F1 fan!
Happy Reading!

Book Snob Book Tag!

Hello Bookish People! I found this tag over at Writer Girls Book Reviews and it seemed very interesting! So, I’ll be doing this tag today! The original creator of this tag is Tia and all the books from Youtube.

Adaptation Snob: Do you always read the book before you see the movie?

Most of the time I do read books before watching the adaptation of it. There have been times when I have only watched the adaptation and not read the books…

Format Snob: You can only choose 1 format in which to read books for the rest of your life. Which one do you choose: physical books, ebooks, or audiobooks?

Physical Copies any day. Although they do take up a lot of space and empty my pockets, but that’s okay!

Ship Snob: Would you date or marry a non-reader?

I don’t know! I have never thought of that aspect. I probably would, because connecting with people with different tastes seems a good thing!

Genre Snob: You have to ditch one genre – never to be read again for the rest of your life. Which one do you ditch?

That would be Fantasy. I like reading fantasies, but sometimes I feel that they are complicated in the aspect of world-building and everything.

Uber Genre Snob: You can only choose to read from one genre for the rest of your life. Which genre do you choose?

*hmph* How can I make this big decision? There are so many sub-genres in Genres. I can’t really choose one 😦

Community Snob: Which genre do you think receives the most snobbery from the bookish community?

I don’t think that a particular genre receives snobbery from the community. Since everyone has their own preferences of the genre, so no one treats any genre as superior to the others 🙂

Snobbery Recipient: Have you ever been snubbed for something that you have been reading or for reading in general?

No, I haven’t been.

These questions were making me make life decisions, but definitely a fun tag! Feel free to do this tag!
Happy Reading!

What are 1-3 of your favourite authors of all time?

I have read many books by these authors and I love them!

Who is your favourite female character of all time?

Stevie Bell, without a question, is my favorite female character. I love her detective skills and wittiness!

Sam is my all-time favorite male character as he is such a nice character who is caring and hardworking!

What is your favourite mythical world?

I love the shadowhunter books and it is my all-time favorite fantasy world!

What book has your favourite cover?

I love purple and this cover has it all! The smoke in the background and then the creepy house, I just love the vibe of it! Great cover!

I did not know that my favorite movie is a book adaptation! I have watched this movie I guess 5 times now. Love it! Even Wonder is a great book-to-movie adaptation!

These two books equally deserve to be adapted into movies or tv shows! They will be a hit for sure!
