The saddest book you’ve ever read.

I may have mentioned this book a couple of times, but this book made me cry. Such a beautiful story that broke my heart. I had read this when I was at a similar point as the main character.

A character that made you really angry.

Verity Crawford made me really angry throughout the book. When you will read the book, you may feel the same. I won’t spoil why, but since I have read this book, I haven’t stopped thinking about it.

A hopeful book.

I don’t talk much about this book, but it was a really good book! It is about a teenage mother taking care of her daughter. I felt the love and warmth between the mother and daughter while reading the book. A captivating story.

A book coming out soon you’re excited for.

Well, I haven’t shared MY EXCITEMENT for this book!! This is the fifth installment in the Truly Devious series and if you have been reading my blogs for a long time, you may be knowing that Truly Devious is my all-time favorite series! The cover and summary have already made me desperate for this book to come out!

A book that made you feel clever.

Ah, maybe Silent Patient!? It was a bomb of a read and till the last page, the author was putting plot twists in the story! Loved it!

Writers Block.

Hello, my writers and readers! Today I wanted to talk about a phase that all writers go through at some point in their lives. I have been in writing slumps several times. Recently, I did not post anything for 2-3 weeks because I did not feel like writing for some time.

What Is Writers Block?

For my non-writers out there, it is basically when you don’t feel like writing anything or you are unable to think of what to write. It is very natural because as writers, our minds are continuously building up ideas for writing. Sometimes we need a break from that cycle, so we end up falling into writer’s block. There are many other reasons, for instance, not being a proper mindset or chasing perfection can lead to a writing slump.

How To Overcome It?

Don’t Force Yourself!

Many people force themself to write even when they don’t feel like it. This can extend your writing slump even more. Instead, just engage in another activity for a while and then come back to it.

Change The Place.

Normally writers have a fixed place where they sit and write. You can change some things around your workspace or go to a different place like a cafe and write! It helps give a fresh mindset.

Do Raw Writing.

Pick up any piece of paper or open up a word doc and just write what is going through your mind at that moment. You don’t have to write related to your book or blog, just write the emotions or thoughts going through your mind. This has helped me open up my mind!

I really missed you all and after a two-week break, I am back with a fresh mind and new content ideas! Don’t be stressed if you fall into a writing slump, you may never know what ideas you can get after your slump is over! Let things go naturally and go with the flow ❤

SOUR Book Recommendations!

Hello, Bookworms! Happy Monday! My apologies for not posting anything for two weeks since I went into a writing slump. Olivia Rodrigo blew up in 2021 with her hit album SOUR! Today I will be recommending books based on the songs in the album. I saw this trend once on BookTok, so I decided to give this a try!

Brutal.

Hands Down Verity by Colleen Hoover for this song! I recently read Verity and ended up loving it. The torture this book has given me… Brutal= Verity.

Traitor.

I read this book in one sitting. This book gave me traitor vibes as the witch and the witch hunter are to be married but the witch hunter is not aware that the girl is a witch.

Drivers License.

Oh, this book… Gave me all the feels. Very sad and emotional read just like the lyrics of driver’s license. Definitely worth a read.

1 Step Forward, 3 Steps Back.

Even though this wasn’t my favorite read, this book definitely describes 1 step forward, 3 steps back. The main and side character’s relationship is similar to the lyrics of the track.

Deja vu.

This book is perfect for deja vu since the main character has dated 18 girls with the same name Katherine. It was a fun read and since deja vu is also an upbeat song, so this is the one for Deja Vu!

Good 4 U.

Good 4 u gives off very enemies to lovers vibes. Spanish Love Deception is a fake dating, enemies to lovers book. I definitely enjoyed reading this one!

Enough For You.

Enough for you is a type of song that makes you feel a rush of emotions. A monster calls was that book that made me feel all the emotions. Heartbreaking story…

Happier.

Happier is one song that describes the pain of loving one person but the person loves someone else. The infernal devices is the best trilogy to read where this kind of pain is described.

Jealousy, Jealousy.

This song is about how we compare ourselves to others. The main character is going through a similar case in this book. It is a very underrated book by E. Lockhart, but it was a really good book!

Favorite Crime.

This book gave me goosebumps and I could not believe the words I had read. Favorite Crime gives and this book gives off similar vibes. You are in for a surprise if you will read this book.

Hope Ur Ok.

Olivia describes her friends struggling with life and how their parents were disapproving of some things. In Poet X, the main character goes through the same problem, where her parents disapprove of her being a writer.

SOUR is a great album with tracks expressing raw emotions, I really loved the album. I hope I could add some books on your never-ending tbr XD. Let me know your favorite track from this album in the comments!
Happy Reading!
