Hello, bookworms! I will be starting Top Ten Tuesday which was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.
Today’s prompt is Bookish Pet Peeves, so I will be discussing some bookish things I hate to do and see!
1. When my bookmark gets lost
I normally read books in bed. When I get up for something, I just can’t find my bookmark which was earlier beside me. So, for 10 minutes I will keep finding my bookmark and then I find it fallen in the gap between my bed and wall lol!
2. Dog Eared Pages
I just can’t imagine dog-earing the page! Some readers dog-ear pages to use it as a bookmark. What category do you fall into?
3. When someone asks, “What is the book about?”
Somehow it is impossible to answer this question because there is so much in the book and once if I would start blabbering about the book to a non-reader, potentially the person could faint on the spot XD! So I always keep my fingers crossed for not being asked this question!
4. When someone spoils something in the book for you!
Oh, that one hurts so bad! It is a huge pet peeve for readers, we don’t want to enter in the spoiler zone, so don’t give spoilers people!
5. When an author ends a book with a huge cliffhanger in the series!
Some authors will put us out of our misery with a huge cliffhanger! We have to wait for the next book to come out for a year, till then the desperation will be reaching great heights!
6. Stickers on book covers!
They just won’t come out of that pretty cover! It would either be on the front cover or it will be on the back cover covering the synopsis! When you attempt to remove it, some part of the glue will still be there on the cover!
7. Books having movie covers!
The book cover is way prettier than the movie cover! Putting actors on the book cover whose description doesn’t even match!
8. When someone judges a book from its title and cover!
Dear human,
Don’t judge a book by its cover and title! It is not what you think! And when they say, it would be terrible! If you haven’t read the book, how can you judge it on the basis of the cover and title?
9. Being interrupted while reading.
When we are reading and someone interrupts me for asking something or some work, it bothers me a lot.
10. Breaking the spine.
I just hate it when a paperback’s spine breaks. I love paperbacks but some paperbacks are rigid, so if you open 20 pages or so, the spine starts breaking which is a bummer.

I LOVE EVERYONE OF THESE!!
