The Chapters & Melodies Book Tag!

Hello Readers! I was on a break from blogging for some time as I was travelling! I am back again with another book tag which is always fun to do! I was tagged by Suahni from Random Reader’s Rambles (thank you!). This tag was created by Evin at A Curly Sue’s Ramblings and Diamond over at I have 12% of a plan.

After googling some songs that match some of the book titles that I have read, I found some songs! I have never heard of either of the artists but it was fun to explore!

  • Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare and Lady Midnight by Leonard Cohen!
  • Also Emergency Contact by Mary H.K Choi and Emergency Contact by Haley Joelle.
  • Crush by David Archuleta reminds me of Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin all the time.
  • 1995 by Emmit Fenn reminds me of City Of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare.
  • Similarly, Supercuts by Jeremy Zucker (my fav singer <3) gives off the vibes of American Royals by Katharine McGee!

Daisy Jones & The Six By Taylor Jenkins Reid has been on my radar for a long time! This book is set all-around music as it is about a rock band! I will be picking this up soon!

This Is How You Fall In Love by Jeremy Zucker and Chelsea Cutler reminds me of Clary and Jace from Shadowhunter Chronicles! Such a beautiful song that always reminds me of Clace!

This is a great question! I have made a playlist of those songs from movies that were adapted from a book XD!
Those songs are:

  • Find You by Zedd, Matthew Koma, Miriam Bryant from the movie Divergent which was adapted from the Divergent Series by Veronica Roth!
  • Rollercoaster by Bleachers from the movie Love, Simon which was adapted from the book, Simon vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli!

Favourite Album You Listen To All The Time While Reading A Book?

This question came to my mind, so I added it. I listen to the album Crusher by Jeremy Zucker all the time while reading books! His album came out recently but before that, I used to listen to Brent by him. His voice is so soothing, I love his music!

I love talking about music, so I enjoyed doing this tag! I am not tagging anyone but feel free to do this tag! Let me know in the comments what kind of music do you listen to!

Goodreads Monday 11/10/21.

Hello, Bookworms! I will be starting Goodreads Monday which is hosted by Lauren’s Page Turners.  All you have to do is show off a book from your TBR that you’re looking forward to reading.

Book: Fire Keeper’s Daughter
Author: Angeline Boulley
Genre: Young Adult, Mystery & Thriller

Blurb From Goodreads.

As a biracial, unenrolled tribal member and the product of a scandal, eighteen-year-old Daunis Fontaine has never quite fit in, both in her hometown and on the nearby Ojibwe reservation. Daunis dreams of studying medicine, but when her family is struck by tragedy, she puts her future on hold to care for her fragile mother.

The only bright spot is meeting Jamie, the charming new recruit on her brother Levi’s hockey team. Yet even as Daunis falls for Jamie, certain details don’t add up and she senses the dashing hockey star is hiding something. Everything comes to light when Daunis witnesses a shocking murder, thrusting her into the heart of a criminal investigation.

Reluctantly, Daunis agrees to go undercover, but secretly pursues her own investigation, tracking down the criminals with her knowledge of chemistry and traditional medicine. But the deceptions—and deaths—keep piling up and soon the threat strikes too close to home.

Now, Daunis must learn what it means to be a strong Anishinaabe kwe (Ojibwe woman) and how far she’ll go to protect her community, even if it tears apart the only world she’s ever known.

Debut author Angeline Boulley crafts a groundbreaking YA thriller about a Native teen who must root out the corruption in her community, for readers of Angie Thomas and Tommy Orange.

Why I Want To Read This Book?

This book has been on my radar because it is a Young Adult, Mystery and Thriller. I love reading this genre so I decided to put it on my TBR. I have heard a lot of great things about this book on YouTube, Instagram and blogs. After reading the description from Goodreads, I found the combo of the Ojibwe community and murder mystery very intriguing! So I am very excited to pick up this book!

Have you read this book? What are your thoughts on it? Let me know in the comments! I will be back with another post soon!

Life In Books Book Tag!

Today I will be doing Life In Books Book Tag which I saw on Lost In Neverland by Georgia! I was not tagged but, I decided to do it anyway!

1. Find a book for each of your initials.

R: Ready Player One
M: My Best Friend’s Exorcism

2. Count your age along your bookshelf – what book is it?

After counting my age along my bookshelf, I landed on Fire Keeper’s Daughter which is on my TBR!

3. Name a book set in your city/country.

When The Wildflowers Bloom and When Devil Married God is set in my country! I loved both of these books!

4. Name a book that represents a destination you’d love to travel to!

I would love to visit the Ellingham Academy from Truly Devious! It will be so fun to study there and solve murder mysteries!

5. Name your favourite childhood book.

All Sudha Murthy books were an essential part of my childhood! I used to ask the school librarian for Sudha Murthy books because they were so good!

6. Name a book that’s your favourite color.

My favourite colour is purple and The Box In The Woods cover looks so pretty in that colour!

7. Which book do you have the fondest memories of?

When I got the Mortal Instruments and The Infernal Devices series on my birthday, I binge-read the whole series! I had entered a shadowhunter phase where I used to laugh at some characters’ personalities and jokes. I also started annotating some quotes and started writing character sketches in my perspective on my blog!

8. Which book did you have the most difficulty reading?

I had the most difficult time reading The Astonishing Colour Of After. I could not finish the book. For 8 months, I used to pick up that book and then used to drop it. I was not in a mindset to read this book at that time because there was a lot of things going on in my life, so in the end, I decided to DNF it.

9. Which book in your TBR pile will give you the biggest accomplishment when you finish it?

The day I will finish The Queen Of Air and Darkness, I will be doing a solo party. It is the final instalment in the dark artifices series and so far I enjoyed reading the two books, but the chunkiness of the book is making me procrastinate. That book is 870 pages brick! I will finish it one day but I don’t know when that day will come hahaha!

I am not tagging anyone for this post, feel free to do this tag! I had so much fun answering these questions! What are your thoughts on some of these questions? Let me know in the comments! I will be back with another post soon!
Happy Reading!
